Who We Are

The American Humanics (AH) Scholars is an alliance of dedicated students, community leaders and national nonprofit organizations committed to a higher standard of excellence in nonprofit leadership. We exist to maximize social goods and to strengthen the community by developing students for careers in service.

Nationally, AH is an alliance of colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations preparing undergraduates for careers in nonprofit agencies. At Pepperdine University, AH Scholars is also part of an interdisciplinary minor in Nonprofit Management designed to prepare students for a professional career with one of America’s nonprofit organizations. Students may complete a certification by itself or in conjunction with the minor.

AH’s mission is to be the nation’s preferred source of entry-level professionals in the nonprofit field. Certification enhances a student’s resume and prepares future nonprofit professionals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to work in the nonprofit world.
